Whilst installing the windows driver for the SPi handset you may encounter the following error message:

Cannot Continue the Hardware Update Wizard
The wizard could not find a better match for your hardware than the software you currently have installed.
[< Back] [Finish] [Cancel]

If this screen is displayed click < Back

You should then see the screen below:

Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard
What do you want the wizard to do?
ο Install the software automatically (Recommended)
ο Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)
[Next >] [Cancel]

Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and click Next >

You should then see the screen below:

Please choose your search and installation options.
ο Search for the best driver in these locations.
ο Don't search. I will choose the driver to install.

Select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install and click Next >

You should then see the screen below:

Select the device driver you want to install for this hardware
Select the manufacturer and model of your hardware device and then click Next.

[< Back] [Next >] [Cancel]

In the list of devices you should see SP Diagnostics SPi

Select SP Diagnostics SPi and click Next >

You may then see the screen below:

The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP.
[Continue Anyway] [STOP Installation]

Click Continue Anyway
